Job Description
Are you looking for an opportunity to start a career in the food production industry? Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P. in Edmonton is seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Dairy Plant Bottling Assistant. This is an entry-level position where no prior experience is required – we provide comprehensive, full training from day one. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our dairy products are bottled efficiently and to the highest quality standards, contributing to the delivery of fresh, delicious products to our customers. Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor bottling and packaging machinery in accordance with company procedures and safety guidelines.
- Load raw materials into machinery and unload finished products, ensuring proper handling.
- Perform quality checks on bottled products, including visual inspections and basic measurements.
- Assist with line changeovers, cleaning, and sanitization of equipment and work areas.
- Maintain accurate production records and logs.
- Adhere to all food safety (HACCP), quality, and occupational health and safety regulations.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or product quality issues to a supervisor.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily production targets.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Excellent work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
- Basic communication skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, if required.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (not required, but a plus).
- Familiarity with food safety principles.
