Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Darkroom & Film Processing Intern to join our team. This entry-level internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in traditional black and white film processing, darkroom printing, and the care of photographic chemicals and equipment. Under the guidance of our experienced technicians, you will learn the fundamental skills required to develop film, create prints, and maintain a functional darkroom environment. This role is perfect for someone with a strong interest in analog photography, a willingness to learn, and a meticulous approach to work. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the processing of black and white film (35mm, 120, large format).
- Learn and perform basic darkroom printing techniques under supervision.
- Prepare and mix photographic chemicals safely and accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the darkroom and processing areas.
- Assist with equipment setup, breakdown, and routine maintenance.
- Organize and archive processed negatives and prints.
- Support general studio operations as needed, including inventory and customer service tasks.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and best practices for chemical handling.
- Participate in learning sessions and workshops to expand knowledge of photographic processes.
