Job Description
Are you an early riser with a passion for excellent service? Delta Hotels by Marriott Winnipeg is seeking a friendly and dedicated Breakfast Buffet Attendant to join our morning team. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy ensuring guests start their day right. You’ll be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and refreshing our breakfast buffet, interacting with guests, and keeping the dining area pristine. With early morning shifts, you’ll have your afternoons free to pursue your interests. No prior experience is required – we provide comprehensive training!
Key Responsibilities
- Set up the breakfast buffet completely and punctually before opening hours.
- Monitor food levels and replenish items promptly to ensure a continuous supply.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the buffet area, dining room, and kitchenettes.
- Greet guests warmly, assist with inquiries, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Prepare simple food items such as coffee, juices, and fruit platters.
- Clear tables, wash dishes, and assist with general kitchen duties as needed.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or inventory shortages to management.
Required Skills
- Ability to work early morning shifts consistently.
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Reliable and punctual work ethic.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds regularly.
- No prior experience required; full training provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic food handling certification (e.g., FoodSafe) or willingness to obtain.
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is an asset, but not mandatory.
