Job Description

Are you passionate about the ocean and eager to start a career in the marine tourism industry? Neptune Dive Charters is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as an Entry-Level Dive Boat Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with no prior experience in diving or boat operations who is keen to learn and grow. We provide comprehensive on-the-job training, teaching you everything you need to know to safely and effectively support our dive operations. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience exploring the coastal wonders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Dive Master and Captain with pre-dive and post-dive preparations.
  • Help guests with equipment fitting, handling, and general inquiries.
  • Ensure all diving and safety equipment is clean, organized, and in good working order.
  • Assist with boat maintenance and cleaning tasks.
  • Support dive briefings and ensure all safety procedures are followed.
  • Provide attentive customer service to all guests on board.
  • Assist with mooring, docking, and general boat handling under supervision.
  • Participate in emergency drills and be ready to assist in any situation.

Required Skills

  • Strong enthusiasm for marine environments and outdoor work.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction.
  • Good physical fitness and ability to lift moderately heavy equipment.
  • Comfortable working on a boat in various weather conditions.
  • Basic swimming ability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

  • No prior diving experience required; however, an interest in diving is a plus.
  • Basic first aid or CPR certification (can be obtained during employment).
  • Some customer service experience in any field.
  • Familiarity with local marine areas.
