Job Description
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sound Designer to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, implementing, and managing all audio elements for our diverse range of projects, including video games, animations, and other interactive media. You will work closely with developers, artists, and producers to ensure a cohesive and impactful auditory experience that elevates our projects. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, artistic vision, and a deep understanding of audio principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, create, and implement a wide range of sound effects, ambient sounds, and Foley for various media projects.
- Edit, mix, and master audio tracks to achieve a high-quality, polished sound.
- Collaborate with game designers, animators, and programmers to integrate audio assets into projects using relevant middleware (e.g., Wwise, FMOD) or proprietary tools.
- Manage audio pipelines, ensure asset optimization, and troubleshoot audio-related issues.
- Maintain consistency in audio quality and style across different projects and platforms.
- Contribute to the creative vision of projects by providing innovative audio solutions and ideas.
- Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices in sound design.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Sound Designer in games or media production.
- Proficiency with Digital Audio Workstations (DAW) such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Cubase, or Ableton Live.
- Strong understanding of audio post-production techniques, mixing, and mastering.
- Experience with audio middleware (e.g., Wwise, FMOD Studio).
- Excellent ear for detail, timing, and emotional impact.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Audio Engineering, Music Production, Sound Design, or a related field.
- Experience with field recording and custom sound asset creation.
- Familiarity with game engines like Unity or Unreal Engine.
- Knowledge of music composition and theory.
- Portfolio demonstrating a range of sound design work across different genres or media types.
