Job Description
Join Énergie Construction Inc. for a rewarding summer season as a Dust Control Water Sprayer. This temporary role is crucial for maintaining safe and environmentally compliant conditions on our active construction sites in Repentigny. You will be responsible for operating water spraying equipment to mitigate dust, ensuring the well-being of our workers and the surrounding community. This is an excellent opportunity for dedicated individuals ready to contribute to significant local projects, with full on-the-job training provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate water trucks and spraying equipment efficiently to control dust on various construction sites.
- Monitor site conditions and adjust water application as needed to effectively suppress dust.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on spraying equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Adhere strictly to all site safety regulations, company policies, and environmental guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors and other team members regarding dust control needs and site conditions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately to supervisors.
Required Skills
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform demanding manual labor.
- Strong commitment to adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Valid Class 5 (or equivalent) driver's license for Quebec with a clean driving record.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of English or French for effective communication.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience operating heavy equipment or water trucks (an asset, but not required).
- Construction Safety Training System (CSTS) certification or similar recognized safety training.
- First Aid certification.
- Familiarity with construction site environments.
