Job Description
As an E-commerce Data Specialist at Myer, you will play a crucial role in our digital strategy, delving into vast datasets to uncover actionable insights. Your expertise will help us track sales performance, identify emerging trends, and understand customer behaviour across our online platforms. Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and organize large datasets from various e-commerce sources.
- Analyze sales data, website traffic, and customer engagement metrics to identify trends and patterns.
- Generate comprehensive reports and dashboards on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Provide data-driven recommendations to optimize product merchandising, marketing campaigns, and user experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, product, and IT to support data needs.
- Monitor competitive landscape and market trends, reporting on their potential impact.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all e-commerce reporting systems.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Microsoft Excel, Google Analytics).
- Experience with e-commerce platforms and related analytics (e.g., Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of explaining complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field within e-commerce.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and conversion rate optimization (CRO).
- Understanding of retail industry dynamics and consumer behaviour.
- Experience with Python or R for data analysis.
