Job Description
Join Vistaprint as an E-commerce Personalization Engraver and become a key part of our dynamic production team in Boston! In this role, you will be responsible for operating advanced laser engraving machines to personalize a wide range of products ordered through our e-commerce platform. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to creating unique, customized items that bring our customers’ visions to life. You will ensure precision, quality, and efficiency in every engraved product, playing a direct role in delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain laser engraving machines for product personalization according to production schedules and quality standards.
- Prepare products for engraving, including loading materials and ensuring proper alignment and setup.
- Monitor engraving processes, making minor adjustments as needed to ensure optimal machine performance and product quality.
- Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to design specifications.
- Handle and package completed personalized items carefully for shipment.
- Conduct routine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance on machinery.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and resolve production issues.
- Accurately record production data and report any equipment malfunctions or material issues.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a manufacturing, production, or similar hands-on environment.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn new software for machine operation.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to follow precise instructions and work independently as well as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience operating laser engravers, CNC machines, or other precision equipment.
- Familiarity with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW) for basic file handling.
- Experience in e-commerce fulfillment or custom product manufacturing.
