Job Description
We are seeking a talented and passionate Industrial Designer to join our dynamic design team. This is an on-site, full-time position where you will play a crucial role in the conceptualization, design, and development of innovative consumer and commercial products. You will be instrumental in translating user needs, market trends, and technological capabilities into compelling product solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams from concept to production. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the industrial design process from initial research and ideation through detailed design and production support.
- Develop compelling design concepts through sketching, 2D renderings, and 3D CAD modeling.
- Create physical and virtual prototypes to test and validate design ideas.
- Conduct user research and translate insights into innovative product features and experiences.
- Collaborate effectively with engineering, marketing, and product management teams to ensure design intent is maintained throughout the development cycle.
- Select appropriate materials, finishes, and manufacturing processes for mass production.
- Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Maintain a keen awareness of design trends, competitive products, and technological advancements.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of professional industrial design experience
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Rhino, Fusion 360)
- Expertise in rendering software (e.g., Keyshot, V-Ray)
- Strong sketching and visualization skills, both digital and traditional
- Excellent understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and DFM principles
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- A strong portfolio demonstrating systematic design process and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Industrial Design or a related discipline
- Experience with UX/UI principles for physical products
- Prior experience with products that have successfully shipped to market
- Demonstrated ability to lead design projects independently
- Experience in consumer electronics or computing hardware design
