Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented E-commerce Vintage Clothing Sorter to join our dynamic warehouse team in Kensington, London. This role is perfect for someone with a keen ‘eye for fashion’ and a passion for vintage clothing, who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will be instrumental in the initial stages of our product lifecycle, carefully sorting, inspecting, and categorizing incoming vintage garments to ensure they meet our high standards for online resale. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to start a career in sustainable fashion and e-commerce.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unpack, and meticulously sort incoming vintage clothing donations and purchases.
- Inspect garments for quality, condition, and authenticity, identifying any defects or areas requiring repair.
- Categorize clothing by type, era, style, and brand with a keen eye for fashion trends and vintage aesthetics.
- Prepare items for the next stages of processing, including light cleaning, steaming, and minor repairs if needed.
- Maintain an organised and efficient workspace within the warehouse.
- Accurately log inventory details into our internal system using basic computer software.
- Collaborate effectively with team members across different departments to ensure smooth workflow.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines within the warehouse environment.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
- A genuine passion for vintage clothing, fashion, and sustainability.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry and inventory management.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move boxes of clothing (up to 15kg).
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail, warehouse, or fashion-related environment (even voluntary).
- Knowledge of various clothing brands, fabrics, and fashion eras.
- Familiarity with e-commerce operations.
