Farfetch, a leading global platform for luxury fashion, is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented E-commerce Vintage Clothing Sorter to join our dynamic warehouse team in Porto. As an E-commerce Vintage Clothing Sorter, you will be at the heart of our vintage operations, responsible for carefully inspecting, identifying, and categorizing a wide array of pre-loved fashion items. Your sharp eye for detail and understanding of fashion trends will be crucial in ensuring that every piece meets our high standards for quality and authenticity before it makes its way onto the Farfetch platform. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unpack, and meticulously inspect incoming shipments of vintage clothing for quality, condition, and authenticity.
- Accurately sort and categorize garments based on brand, era, style, fabric, and potential flaws.
- Identify unique, rare, and high-value vintage items with an expert eye for fashion trends and historical significance.
- Prepare items for the next stages of the e-commerce process, including tagging, steaming, and initial data entry.
- Maintain an organized and efficient workspace, adhering to all warehouse safety and operational procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve daily processing targets and uphold inventory accuracy.
- Provide feedback on garment quality and sourcing to improve overall vintage collection standards.
Required Skills
- A proven keen eye for fashion, styles, and an understanding of vintage clothing characteristics.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven warehouse environment.
- Basic computer literacy for scanning items and simple data input.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move boxes (up to 15 kg), and perform repetitive tasks.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in fashion retail, merchandising, or a warehouse environment is a plus, but not essential – full training will be provided.
- Familiarity with various fabric types, garment construction, and designer brands.
- A genuine passion for sustainable fashion and the circular economy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
