Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Morning Baker to join our friendly team in Oxford. This part-time role is perfect for someone who loves the smell of fresh bread and pastries, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys contributing to a great start to our customers’ days. You will be responsible for preparing and baking a wide range of products, ensuring high standards of quality and food safety, and maintaining a clean and organised workspace. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of fresh products, including bread, pastries, and savouries, according to company recipes and standards.
- Ensure all products are baked to the highest quality, presentation, and taste.
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report any shortages to the manager.
- Operate and maintain baking equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene, and health and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organised baking area and storage facilities.
- Assist with stock rotation and inventory management.
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth morning operations.
- Contribute to a positive and energetic working atmosphere.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a bakery or food preparation environment (at least 6 months).
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene principles.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items.
- Must be an early riser and available for early morning shifts, including weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
- Level 2 Food Safety certificate.
- Experience with commercial baking equipment.
- A genuine passion for baking and quality food production.
