Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable Wildlife Rescue Center Laborer to join our compassionate team in Digbeth, Birmingham. This is a critical hands-on role involving significant heavy cleaning and maintenance to ensure our animal enclosures and facilities remain hygienic and safe for all residents. While the work is physically demanding, it is incredibly rewarding, directly contributing to the welfare and recovery of various wildlife. Full training will be provided to the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic and a genuine passion for animal welfare.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily deep cleaning and sanitization of animal enclosures, kennels, and holding areas.
- Remove waste, bedding, and soiled materials efficiently and safely.
- Operate cleaning equipment and follow strict hygiene protocols.
- Assist with general facility maintenance, including sweeping, mopping, and organizing supplies.
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to the highest standards to prevent disease transmission.
- Monitor and report any maintenance issues or concerns regarding animal habitats.
- Support the wider animal care team by maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and animal welfare guidelines.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform heavy lifting and repetitive tasks.
- Ability to work effectively in a demanding and sometimes challenging environment.

Preferred Qualifications
