Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Energy Efficiency Consultant to join our Commercial team in Mount Gambier. In this role, you will be instrumental in helping commercial clients reduce their energy consumption, lower operating costs, and improve their environmental footprint. You will conduct comprehensive energy audits, develop tailored energy efficiency strategies, and guide clients through the implementation of innovative solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed energy audits and assessments for a diverse portfolio of commercial clients.
- Analyze energy consumption data, identify areas for improvement, and quantify potential energy savings.
- Develop and present clear, concise, and compelling energy efficiency recommendations and business cases to clients.
- Provide expert advice on a range of energy-saving technologies and practices, including HVAC, lighting, insulation, and renewable energy integration.
- Assist clients with project implementation, monitoring, and verification of energy savings.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and relevant energy regulations and incentives.
- Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and proposals detailing audit findings, recommendations, and financial analyses.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in energy auditing or energy consulting for commercial properties.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Understanding of commercial building systems, including HVAC, lighting, and building envelopes.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Valid Australian driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites within the region.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical), Environmental Science, or a related technical field.
- CEM (Certified Energy Manager) or other relevant professional certifications (e.g., NABERS Assessor, GBCA Green Star Accredited Professional).
- Experience with energy modeling software or building simulation tools.
- Knowledge of Australian energy market dynamics, regulations, and government incentive programs.
