Job Description

As an Epidemiology & Biostatistics Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting our research projects and public health surveillance activities. This internship offers a comprehensive learning experience, allowing you to apply theoretical knowledge to practical challenges. You will work closely with experienced epidemiologists and biostatisticians, gaining exposure to various stages of public health research, from data collection and analysis to interpretation and reporting. This on-site position provides an immersive experience within our research environment, fostering direct interaction and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the collection, cleaning, and management of public health data.
  • Support statistical analysis of health data using various software packages (e.g., R, SAS, Python).
  • Contribute to the drafting of research reports, presentations, and other dissemination materials.
  • Conduct literature reviews to support ongoing research projects and inform methodologies.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning and discussion.
  • Maintain accurate and organized documentation of research activities and data processes.
  • Learn and apply epidemiological principles to real-world public health scenarios.

  • Familiarity with statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, STATA, Python for data analysis).
  • Basic understanding of public health surveillance systems and health data sources.
  • Prior experience with data management or data visualization tools is a plus.
