Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Hospital Porter to join our vital support team. As a Hospital Porter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our hospital, directly impacting patient care and staff workflow. Key Responsibilities
- Transporting patients safely and comfortably between departments for appointments, procedures, or ward transfers.
- Moving medical equipment, supplies, specimens, and patient notes throughout the hospital.
- Assisting with the safe handling and transfer of deceased patients to the mortuary.
- Ensuring the timely delivery and collection of linen, waste, and other materials.
- Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment and reporting any hazards or faults.
- Adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures, including infection control guidelines.
- Communicating effectively and compassionately with patients, visitors, and staff members.
- Responding promptly to requests and prioritizing tasks efficiently to support hospital operations.
