Job Description

As a Parcel Sorter, you will play a key part in the efficient processing and distribution of packages, contributing directly to our commitment to timely deliveries across Canada. Key Responsibilities
- Sort parcels and packages manually and with automated equipment according to destination, size, and weight.
- Load and unload freight and packages from vehicles and conveyor belts, ensuring secure placement and proper handling.
- Accurately scan packages using handheld devices to maintain inventory and tracking records.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the sorting facility.
- Work effectively and collaboratively within a team to meet nightly processing targets and deadlines.
- Assist with other general warehouse duties as required by supervisors.
Required Skills
- Ability to work consistent night shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling packages weighing up to 70 lbs (with assistance if needed).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in following sorting instructions.
- Reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
- Basic communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- No prior experience required; full training will be provided on the job.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is an asset, but not mandatory.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment or physically demanding role.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures.
