Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and customer-focused Event Ticketing / Box Office Clerk to join our team in Oxnard, CA. This is a full-time, on-site position primarily involving sitting while assisting patrons with ticket purchases and inquiries. You will be a front-line representative for our venue, ensuring a smooth and pleasant experience for all guests. The role requires flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, aligned with our event schedule. Full training on our ticketing systems and customer service standards will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately process ticket sales using our computerized ticketing system and point-of-sale software.
  • Handle cash, credit card, and other payment methods securely and efficiently.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions about events, venue policies, and seating arrangements.
  • Resolve ticketing issues, exchanges, and refunds in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Reconcile daily sales reports and cash drawers with precision.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming box office environment.
  • Assist with other administrative duties as needed during non-event times.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including cash handling and data privacy.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic mathematical aptitude and experience with cash handling.
  • Proven ability to provide outstanding customer service.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Reliable and punctual attendance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a box office, retail, or customer service role.
  • Familiarity with ticketing software (e.g., Ticketmaster, AXS, etc.).
  • Experience working in an entertainment or event-based environment.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
