Job Description
We are seeking physically fit and reliable individuals to join our Eviction Clean-Out Crew in Matane. This role involves the efficient and thorough removal of contents from properties following evictions, often requiring heavy lifting, sorting, and disposal of various items. You will work as part of a dynamic team, ensuring properties are left clean and ready for the next stage. This is a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and a strong work ethic are crucial. Daily pay options are available to support our dedicated crew members.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently remove furniture, appliances, debris, and personal items from properties post-eviction.
- Perform heavy lifting, carrying, and loading of various items onto trucks or disposal bins.
- Sort items for donation, recycling, or disposal according to company guidelines.
- Assist with basic cleaning tasks to leave properties in a broom-swept condition.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) provided.
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete clean-outs within designated timeframes.
- Operate basic hand tools and equipment as needed (e.g., dollies, hand trucks).
- Maintain a respectful and professional demeanor on all job sites.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 75 lbs) repeatedly throughout the day.
- Strong physical stamina and endurance.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures on a worksite.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in general labor, moving, junk removal, or warehousing.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license (asset, but not required for all positions).
- Familiarity with local waste management and recycling guidelines.
