Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Exhaust Fitter to join our busy team in Croydon. As an Exhaust Fitter, you will be responsible for the inspection, repair, and replacement of vehicle exhaust systems, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of vehicle mechanics, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. Full training on Kwik Fit specific procedures and equipment will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and identify faults in vehicle exhaust systems.
  • Perform accurate and efficient removal and replacement of exhaust components.
  • Utilise various hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Conduct quality checks on all completed work to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Provide excellent customer service, explaining work carried out clearly and professionally.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workstation.
  • Assist with other workshop duties as required.

Required Skills

  • Proven mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Familiarity with various types of hand and power tools.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in an automotive workshop environment, specifically with exhaust systems.
  • Knowledge of current MOT testing standards relating to exhaust emissions.
