Job Description

Join the dynamic team at Norfolk Showground as Exhibition Staff! We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to assist with a variety of events, exhibitions, and trade shows held at our premier venue in Norwich. As Exhibition Staff, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of events, providing excellent customer service, and contributing to a positive experience for all attendees and exhibitors. This is a temporary position offering flexible hours, ideal for those looking to gain experience in the events industry or supplement their income.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greeting and assisting event attendees and exhibitors with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Providing information about the event layout, schedules, and facilities.
  • Directing visitors to various stands, areas, or services.
  • Assisting with ticket scanning and access control.
  • Monitoring exhibition areas to ensure a safe and orderly environment.
  • Handling general enquiries and resolving minor issues promptly and courteously.
  • Supporting exhibitors with basic needs, such as directions or light material handling.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness in public areas during events.
  • Adhering to all health and safety regulations and venue policies.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

  • Previous experience working at events, exhibitions, or large venues.
  • Basic knowledge of first aid (certification not required but a plus).
  • Ability to speak multiple languages is advantageous.
