Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and empathetic Fair Work Support Officer to join our team in Ballina. This vital role involves providing administrative and advisory support to our clients on a range of industrial relations and Fair Work matters. You will be instrumental in assisting businesses to understand and comply with Australian workplace legislation, preparing documentation, and acting as a key point of contact for inquiries. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a foundational understanding of HR or legal support seeking to specialize in industrial relations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide initial advice and information to clients on basic Fair Work Act entitlements and obligations.
- Assist in the preparation of correspondence, submissions, and other documents related to industrial relations cases.
- Conduct research on industrial awards, agreements, and workplace legislation.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records and case management systems.
- Schedule appointments, manage diaries, and coordinate meetings for senior consultants.
- Respond to client inquiries via phone and email, ensuring professional and timely communication.
- Support the team with administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and general office duties.
- Participate in training and professional development to stay updated on changes in workplace law.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an administrative, HR, or legal support role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Demonstrated empathy and client-focused approach.
- Understanding of confidentiality and ethical conduct.

Preferred Qualifications
- A Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
