Job Description
We are seeking a motivated WFH Python Programmer with a keen focus on data analytics to join our dynamic team. This is a fully remote role, offering you the flexibility to work from anywhere within Australia. You will be instrumental in developing and maintaining Python-based solutions for data extraction, transformation, and analysis, contributing directly to critical business insights. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain robust Python scripts and applications for data processing and analysis.
- Extract, clean, and transform large datasets from various sources to prepare them for analytical use.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Collaborate with data scientists and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.
- Create and maintain data visualizations and reports using Python libraries.
- Implement and optimize data pipelines and automated workflows.
- Contribute to code reviews and adhere to best practices in software development and data governance.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Python programming, including libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib/Seaborn.
- Strong understanding of SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Experience with data cleaning, transformation, and validation techniques.
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services.
- Basic understanding of machine learning concepts and libraries (e.g., Scikit-learn).
