Job Description
Are you detail-oriented, quick on your feet, and looking for a dynamic role in the food service industry? Boston Pizza in Airdrie is seeking a dedicated Food Delivery Order Bagger to join our team in the restaurant’s dispatch area. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently packaging food orders for delivery, ensuring every customer receives exactly what they ordered, perfectly presented and ready for transport. This is a fast-paced environment where precision and teamwork are key to our delivery success.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately cross-reference printed order tickets with prepared food items to ensure correctness.
- Efficiently bag and package food items, including drinks, appetizers, main courses, and desserts, following established guidelines.
- Ensure all necessary condiments, cutlery, and napkins are included with each order.
- Label packaged orders clearly and correctly for easy identification by delivery drivers.
- Organize and stage bagged orders in the designated dispatch area for prompt pickup.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and delivery drivers to facilitate smooth operations.
- Monitor inventory of packaging supplies and report shortages to management.
Required Skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently and quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a good work ethic.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs.
- Basic understanding of food safety principles (training provided).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, kitchen, or food service environment.
- Familiarity with delivery order systems.
- Experience with food packaging or order fulfillment.
