Job Description
Are you ready to bring your organizational skills and attention to detail to a dynamic warehouse environment? FedEx Supply Chain is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Freight Pallet Builders. This entry-level position is perfect for those who enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, and a fast-paced setting. We’re looking for individuals who can strategically stack and arrange boxes of various sizes and weights onto pallets, much like a game of Tetris, to maximize space and ensure stability for shipment. No prior experience is necessary – we provide comprehensive training to help you succeed!
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently and safely load and unload freight by hand or using basic material handling equipment.
- Strategically stack and arrange boxes onto pallets in a stable and space-optimized manner, adhering to safety guidelines and customer specifications.
- Inspect freight for damage and accurately report any discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily productivity goals.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Assist with other general warehouse duties as needed.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Good hand-eye coordination and physical dexterity.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of warehouse safety procedures (training provided).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics setting (not required, but a plus).
- Familiarity with pallet jack operation (training will be provided if needed).
- High school diploma or GED.
