Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and vigilant individuals to join our team as Local Council Ward Security Patrol officers in Paterson, NJ. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about community safety and security. As a Security Patrol officer, you will be a visible presence, deterring crime, ensuring the safety of residents and property within designated council wards, and providing a sense of security to the local community. Full uniform will be provided, and comprehensive training will be given to ensure you are fully equipped for success in this critical role.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular foot and/or vehicle patrols of designated local council wards.
- Monitor premises to prevent theft, vandalism, or infractions of rules.
- Respond promptly to alarms or calls for assistance.
- Observe and report any suspicious activities, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and incident reports.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
- Provide assistance and information to residents and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and security procedures.
- Act as a visible deterrent to unauthorized activities.
Required Skills
- Ability to observe and recall details accurately.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent judgment and decision-making abilities under pressure.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (if vehicle patrol is required).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in security, military, or law enforcement is a plus, but not required.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
