Job Description
Gold Dust West Casino is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Gaming Surveillance Director to lead our comprehensive surveillance operations. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our gaming floor and property security through advanced surveillance technology and a dedicated team. This position is open to qualified candidates who may require sponsorship support, demonstrating our commitment to attracting the best global talent. The Director will ensure the integrity of all gaming activities, protect company assets, and maintain a safe and secure environment for our patrons and staff, all while adhering to strict regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage all surveillance policies, procedures, and strategies to ensure optimal security and gaming integrity.
- Lead, mentor, and train a team of surveillance operators and supervisors, fostering a high-performance and ethical work environment.
- Monitor all gaming areas, cash handling procedures, and sensitive areas to detect and prevent potential fraud, theft, or other illicit activities.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot state-of-the-art CCTV systems, digital recording devices, and other surveillance equipment.
- Ensure strict compliance with all local, state, and federal gaming regulations and company internal controls.
- Conduct thorough investigations into reported incidents, gather evidence, and prepare detailed reports for management and regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments, including Gaming Operations, Security, and Management, as well as external law enforcement agencies.
- Stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in gaming surveillance and security.
- Manage departmental budgeting, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in gaming surveillance, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Demonstrated expertise in all facets of casino surveillance operations, including knowledge of various casino games and potential vulnerabilities.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a proven track record of developing and motivating staff.
- Thorough understanding of relevant gaming laws, regulations, and internal control standards applicable to Nevada.
- Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting complex CCTV systems, digital video recorders (DVRs), and network video recorders (NVRs).
- Excellent analytical, observational, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for reporting, training, and inter-departmental collaboration.
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field.
- Advanced certifications in security technology or surveillance systems.
- Experience with specific surveillance software platforms relevant to large-scale casino operations.
- Prior experience working in a multi-venue gaming environment.
