Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly individual to join our team as a Gated Community Security Guard. This is primarily a sit-down role focused on monitoring access, providing a welcoming presence, and ensuring the safety and security of a prestigious gated residential community in Spruce Grove, Alberta. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access to the gated community, verifying visitor and resident credentials.
- Operate gate control systems, CCTV, and alarm systems efficiently.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of all activities, incidents, and visitor information.
- Provide a visible and friendly security presence, greeting residents and authorized visitors.
- Conduct regular patrols (foot or vehicle, as needed) to deter unauthorized activities.
- Respond to alarms and incidents according to established protocols.
- Liaise with residents, emergency services, and management as required.
- Enforce community rules and regulations professionally and courteously.
- Prepare detailed incident reports when necessary.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain composure and professional demeanor in various situations.
- Basic computer proficiency for logging and monitoring systems.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid Alberta Security Guard License (or willingness to obtain with company support).
- Previous customer service experience.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- A valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record (if vehicle patrols are required).
