Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and enthusiastic Glassware Washing Assistant to join our banquet hall team in Federal Hill, Baltimore. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals looking to gain experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment. As a Glassware Washing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and readiness of all glassware for our diverse range of events. Full training will be provided, so no prior experience is necessary. We value a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain commercial dishwashing equipment specifically for glassware.
- Sort, wash, rinse, and sanitize all types of glassware used in banquet events.
- Inspect cleaned glassware for spots, chips, or damage and polish as needed.
- Properly store clean glassware in designated areas to maintain organization and prevent breakage.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of banquet events as directed by supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organized washing area, including floors, sinks, and work surfaces.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
- Communicate effectively with other kitchen and banquet staff to ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail for cleanliness and quality control.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Basic understanding of hygiene and sanitation principles (training provided).
- Reliable and punctual attendance.

- Prior experience in a hospitality or food service environment (not required, but a plus).
