Job Description
Join the team at Sand Hollow Resort as a Golf Course Caddy! This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who love the outdoors, enjoy physical activity, and thrive in a service-oriented environment. As a caddy, you will provide essential support to golfers, enhancing their experience on our world-class course. This role offers significant earning potential through excellent cash tips, making it ideal for energetic and customer-focused individuals. Full training will be provided, so no prior caddying experience is necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry golf bags for players (single or double bags)
- Walk the course alongside golfers, maintaining a good pace of play
- Provide accurate yardage readings and assist with club selection
- Help locate errant shots and maintain the course (e.g., replace divots, rake bunkers)
- Offer general course knowledge and local insights
- Provide excellent customer service, anticipating player needs and ensuring a positive experience
- Clean clubs and golf balls as needed
- Adhere to all resort policies and safety guidelines
Required Skills
- Ability to walk long distances (up to 10 miles or more) while carrying weight (up to 30 lbs) for extended periods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiastic and positive attitude
- Reliability and punctuality
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Customer service orientation
- No prior caddying experience required; full training provided
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of golf rules and etiquette
- Prior experience in a customer service or outdoor recreation role
- Familiarity with the Sand Hollow Resort golf course layout (or quick learner)
