Job Description

We are seeking a highly efficient and accurate Government Data Entry Operator for a critical 6-month contract role based in Parramatta, NSW. This position involves managing a high volume of sensitive government data, requiring meticulous attention to detail, speed, and strict adherence to data security protocols. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity and accessibility of information for various government projects. Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately inputting large volumes of alphanumeric data from various sources into government systems.
  • Verifying data for accuracy and completeness, correcting errors as needed.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and adhering strictly to data privacy and security policies.
  • Organizing and prioritizing workload to meet daily deadlines and targets.
  • Scanning and filing documents, ensuring proper record management.
  • Communicating effectively with team members regarding data discrepancies or operational issues.
  • Performing routine data quality checks and reporting anomalies.
  • Assisting with data clean-up projects and system updates as required.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in high-volume data entry, preferably within a government or corporate environment.
  • Exceptional typing speed and accuracy (minimum 60 WPM with high accuracy).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with utmost confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with government databases or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • A diploma or certificate in administration, business, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Australian Government information handling standards and privacy legislation.
