Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Government Epidemic Response Assistant to join our dedicated public health team. In this critical role, you will play a vital part in supporting the council’s ongoing efforts to manage and respond to public health challenges, particularly during times of increased demand. This position is essential for ensuring efficient data management, communication, and logistical support for our epidemic response initiatives. You will work within a dynamic environment, contributing directly to the well-being and safety of the Wakefield community. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the collection, entry, and management of public health data related to epidemic response.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for public health campaigns and initiatives.
  • Handle enquiries from the public and internal stakeholders, providing accurate and timely information.
  • Coordinate resources and supplies for response efforts, ensuring availability when needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as required by team leads.
  • Support communication efforts, including drafting correspondence and updating digital platforms.
  • Collaborate effectively with various departments and external agencies to ensure a coordinated response.
