Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as a Station Assistant in Wolverhampton. In this vital front-line role, you will be the welcoming face of West Midlands Railway, ensuring a positive and safe experience for all passengers. You will assist with ticketing, platform queries, and general station operations, contributing to the smooth running of services. Key Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service, assisting passengers with journey planning, ticket purchases, and general enquiries.
- Ensure the cleanliness and safety of station platforms, waiting areas, and facilities.
- Monitor passenger flow and assist with boarding and alighting trains, particularly for those with special needs.
- Handle minor incidents and emergencies in accordance with company procedures.
- Communicate effectively with other station staff, train crews, and control centres.
- Operate ticket machines and validate tickets as required.
