Job Description

Canada Post is looking for dedicated and reliable individuals to join our team as Government Mail Carriers in North Battleford. This full-time role involves the timely and safe delivery of mail and parcels to homes and businesses, rain or shine. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver mail, parcels, and other postal items to residential and business addresses on an assigned route.
- Operate a Canada Post vehicle safely and responsibly, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Sort and sequence mail in preparation for delivery.
- Provide excellent customer service, answering inquiries and assisting customers with postal needs.
- Collect outgoing mail and parcels from designated locations.
- Handle mail security procedures and maintain confidentiality.
- Perform duties in various weather conditions, ensuring consistent service.
Required Skills
- Valid Class 5 driver's license (or equivalent) with a safe driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry mail bags and parcels weighing up to 50 lbs (22.7 kg).
- Physical ability to walk, stand, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service or delivery role is an asset but not required.
- Familiarity with the North Battleford area.
- A positive attitude and a commitment to public service.
