Job Description

We are immediately hiring enthusiastic and safety-conscious individuals to join our team as Government Roadworks Flaggers / Traffic Control personnel in Fort Worth, TX. This is an entry-level position and no prior experience is required as we provide comprehensive, paid training to ensure your success. As a Flagger, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of both our construction crews and the traveling public by effectively managing traffic flow around active construction zones. Key Responsibilities

  • Directing vehicle and pedestrian traffic safely around construction sites using hand signals and approved flagging devices.
  • Setting up, maintaining, and removing traffic control signs, barricades, cones, and other temporary traffic control devices as directed.
  • Communicating clearly and effectively with drivers, pedestrians, and construction equipment operators.
  • Adhering strictly to all federal, state, and company safety regulations and procedures.
  • Remaining alert and aware of surroundings at all times to anticipate potential hazards.
  • Providing excellent customer service by being courteous and professional to the public.
  • Working effectively as part of a team to ensure smooth and safe operations.

Required Skills

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety protocols.
  • Reliable transportation to and from job sites in the Fort Worth area.
  • Ability to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience in a physically demanding role or outdoor work environment.
  • Basic knowledge of construction site safety.
  • ATSSA (American Traffic Safety Services Association) Flagger Certification (will be provided through training if not already held).
