Job Description
Are you looking for a rewarding entry-level role where you can make a real difference to public safety? Balfour Beatty is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Government Roadworks Flaggers and Traffic Control personnel in the Salford area. This is a crucial role ensuring the smooth and safe flow of traffic and pedestrians around our vital roadworks projects. No prior experience is required, as we provide comprehensive, fully paid training to equip you with all the necessary skills and certifications to excel in this role. You will be a key part of our operational teams, working outdoors to maintain safe environments for both the public and our work crews.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage traffic flow safely and efficiently around construction sites using Stop/Slow paddles, flags, and other signaling devices.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with drivers, pedestrians, and construction personnel.
- Set up and maintain temporary traffic management systems, including cones, signs, and barriers.
- Monitor ongoing work zones for potential hazards and communicate concerns to supervisors.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and site-specific protocols.
- Assist with other site duties as directed by the site supervisor.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.

Preferred Qualifications
- Valid UK Driving License (advantageous but not essential).
