Job Description

Join the dedicated team at Services Sociaux de Longueuil as a Government Women & Children’s Shelter Assistant. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the daily operations of the shelter, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for residents.

  • Support staff in coordinating activities, resources, and resident needs.
  • Monitor facility entrances and exits, upholding strict security protocols to ensure the safety of all residents and staff.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including record-keeping and resource management.
  • Adhere to all confidentiality guidelines and ethical standards in all interactions and duties.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.

  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Proficiency in French and English (bilingualism is an asset in Quebec).
  • Understanding of the issues faced by women and children experiencing violence or vulnerability.
