Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Research Intern to join our Graphene and 2D Materials research group. This entry-level internship offers a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in a cutting-edge research environment. The intern will assist with various aspects of materials synthesis, characterization, and application development under the guidance of experienced researchers. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about materials science and nanotechnology, looking to contribute to groundbreaking discoveries and develop their practical research skills. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the synthesis and fabrication of graphene and other 2D materials.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment for materials characterization (e.g., SEM, AFM, Raman Spectroscopy) under supervision.
- Prepare samples for various experimental tests and analyses.
- Collect, organize, and analyze experimental data.
- Contribute to literature reviews to support ongoing research projects.
- Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records and notebooks.
- Participate in group meetings and present findings when appropriate.
- Adhere to all laboratory safety protocols and procedures.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Nanotechnology, or a related field.
- Strong theoretical understanding of materials science principles.
- Basic knowledge of laboratory practices and safety procedures.
- Proficiency in data collection and organization.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
