Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our environmental team as an Entry Level Greenhouse Gas Emissions Data Clerk. This office-based role is perfect for someone eager to start their career and contribute to critical environmental reporting. You will be responsible for accurately inputting, verifying, and maintaining data related to our greenhouse gas emissions, playing a vital role in our sustainability efforts. Full training will be provided, making this an ideal opportunity for candidates with no prior experience but a strong work ethic and passion for accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately input greenhouse gas emissions data into various internal databases and tracking systems.
- Verify the completeness and accuracy of received data, identifying and resolving discrepancies under supervision.
- Assist with the organization and maintenance of environmental data records and documentation.
- Generate basic reports and summaries of emissions data as required for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the environmental team with various data-related tasks and ad-hoc requests.
- Ensure data entry complies with internal quality standards and regulatory guidelines after training.
Required Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Eagerness to learn new software and data management systems.
- Ability to follow instructions precisely and work methodically.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; some post-secondary education or coursework is a plus.
- A genuine interest in environmental sustainability or data management.
- Prior experience in any data entry role (even volunteer or part-time) is considered an asset, but not required.
