Job Description
Are you looking for an immediate start in a dynamic and essential retail environment? Giant Eagle is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Grocery Clerks/Stockers. No prior experience is required – we provide comprehensive training to ensure your success! This role is perfect for motivated individuals who enjoy a fast-paced setting and are eager to contribute to a positive customer experience. You’ll play a vital role in keeping our store organized, stocked, and inviting for our shoppers.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unpack, and stock merchandise onto shelves and displays.
- Ensure products are faced, rotated, and priced correctly.
- Assist customers with locating products and provide friendly service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of aisles, stockrooms, and work areas.
- Operate pallet jacks and other equipment safely (training provided).
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Support inventory management by reporting low stock or damaged items.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail setting.
- Basic understanding of customer service principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service role (not required, but a plus).
