Job Description
Join our vibrant team at Tesco in Stranraer as a Grocery Clerk / Stocker! This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for immediate employment with no prior experience required. We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable team members to help us maintain a well-stocked, clean, and welcoming store environment for our valued customers. Full training will be provided, ensuring you have all the skills needed to succeed in this dynamic role.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unload delivery trucks, verifying contents against invoices.
- Efficiently stock shelves, displays, and storage areas, ensuring proper product rotation and merchandising standards are met.
- Assist customers with product inquiries, locating items, and providing exceptional service with a friendly attitude.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including aisles, stockrooms, and checkout areas.
- Monitor product freshness, remove expired items, and assist with inventory management.
- Operate basic store equipment safely, such as pallet jacks or balers, after receiving training.
- Support promotional activities and seasonal display changes.
Required Skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Physical ability to lift and carry moderately heavy items (up to 25 kg) and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and procedures.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- No prior experience needed – comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided.
