Job Description
Guardian Watch Security is seeking a diligent and reliable individual to join our team as a Night Shift Guard on a part-time roster basis in Fremantle. This role is crucial for maintaining the safety and security of our clients’ premises during overnight hours. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned premises and grounds, both internal and external.
- Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV cameras and alarm systems, reporting any suspicious activities.
- Respond to alarms and incidents according to established procedures, liaising with emergency services when necessary.
- Control access points for personnel and vehicles, ensuring only authorised individuals enter.
- Maintain detailed records of incidents, observations, and daily activities in a logbook or digital system.
- Enforce company policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Provide a visible security presence to deter unauthorized activities.
- Perform routine checks of doors, windows, and gates to ensure they are securely locked.
Required Skills
- High level of reliability and punctuality for scheduled shifts.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Sound judgment and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Physical fitness to conduct patrols and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current Western Australian Security Officer Licence (Crowd Control or Guarding).
(Applicants without a licence but with suitable aptitude will be considered for sponsored training). - Valid First Aid certificate.
- Valid Western Australian Driver's Licence and reliable transport.
- Previous experience in a security, defence, or emergency services role.
