Job Description
Kaiser Permanente is seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as an Entry-Level Hospital Porter. This is a full-time, on-site position in San Jose, CA, offering comprehensive training for motivated candidates with no prior experience required. As a Hospital Porter, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our medical facilities, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients and the efficient movement of equipment and supplies. You will be an integral part of our patient care team, supporting nurses, doctors, and other staff by providing essential services that keep our hospital running smoothly. Key Responsibilities
- Transporting patients safely and comfortably between wards, departments, and medical appointments using wheelchairs, gurneys, or beds.
- Moving medical equipment, specimens, and supplies throughout the hospital.
- Assisting with the delivery and collection of clean and soiled linen.
- Responding promptly to requests from medical staff for portering services.
- Ensuring the cleanliness and proper storage of transportation equipment.
- Adhering to all hospital policies, safety regulations, and infection control procedures.
- Providing compassionate and respectful interaction with patients and visitors.
