Job Description

Join Kaiser Permanente Anaheim Medical Center as an Entry-Level Hospital Porter. Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport patients via wheelchairs, gurneys, or beds to various departments (e.g., imaging, operating rooms, patient rooms) throughout the hospital.
  • Assist in transferring patients from beds to stretchers/wheelchairs and vice versa, following proper lifting techniques and safety protocols.
  • Move medical equipment, supplies, and laboratory specimens as directed, ensuring timely delivery and proper handling.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of transport equipment, reporting any malfunctions or necessary repairs.
  • Respond promptly to requests from nursing staff and other departments, prioritizing urgent transport needs.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, safety regulations, and infection control standards.
  • Provide compassionate and respectful interaction with patients and their families.

  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
  • Basic communication skills to interact with patients and staff.
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, push, and lift for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications
