Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Manager to lead our information technology operations at our Coventry facility. This pivotal role involves overseeing our IT infrastructure, ensuring robust system performance, and driving technological innovation to support our manufacturing and administrative functions. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader capable of managing a team, collaborating with various departments, and implementing strategic IT initiatives that align with our global business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the local IT team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of all IT systems, networks, and infrastructure.
- Ensure the security, availability, and integrity of all data and IT systems.
- Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, and service level agreements.
- Develop and implement IT policies and procedures in line with company standards and best practices.
- Provide strategic input on technology initiatives and solutions to support business growth and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot complex IT issues and provide expert guidance and support to end-users.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and internal IT governance.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in IT infrastructure management (servers, networks, databases).
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in IT security best practices and data protection regulations.
- Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., ITIL, CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, PMP).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and virtualisation technologies.
- Familiarity with automotive industry IT requirements and standards.
- Experience managing IT for a multi-site or global organisation.
