Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Procurement Manager to join our corporate team in Katherine, NT. This critical role involves strategically managing our information technology procurement processes, ensuring cost-effectiveness, optimizing vendor relationships, and driving value across all IT-related expenditures. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the IT market, strong negotiation skills, and a proven track record in complex contract management within a large corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for IT hardware, software, services, and telecommunications.
- Lead complex negotiations with IT vendors to secure favourable terms, pricing, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Manage the full lifecycle of IT contracts, including drafting, review, compliance, and renewal.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements within IT procurement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, including IT, finance, and legal teams.
- Conduct market research and supplier performance reviews to ensure best value and continuous improvement.
- Ensure adherence to corporate procurement policies, ethical guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and mitigate procurement-related risks, including supply chain disruptions and vendor non-compliance.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on procurement activities, savings, and vendor performance.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT procurement or supply chain management.
- Proven expertise in contract negotiation and vendor management.
- Strong understanding of IT categories, including infrastructure, software licensing, cloud services, and cybersecurity.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) or equivalent.
- Experience working in the mining, resources, or other large-scale industrial sectors.
- Familiarity with global procurement practices and multi-national vendor relationships.
- Project management experience.
