Job Description
Are you passionate about the digital world and eager to kickstart your career in web development? Deloitte Australia is looking for a motivated and curious Junior Web Intern with a focus on WordPress and Content Management Systems (CMS) to join our dynamic team in Belconnen. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals with little to no prior professional experience, providing comprehensive training and mentorship to help you grow. You will gain hands-on experience in supporting the development, maintenance, and optimization of various web projects, learning best practices in web content management and gaining exposure to enterprise-level CMS platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in updating and maintaining website content across various platforms, primarily WordPress.
- Learn and apply CMS functionalities to manage and publish digital content.
- Support the web development team with basic front-end tasks and troubleshooting.
- Participate in quality assurance testing for website updates and new features.
- Document web processes, guidelines, and CMS best practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand content requirements and implement them effectively.
- Research and stay informed about the latest trends in web technologies and CMS platforms.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of web principles (HTML, CSS).
- Familiarity with WordPress, even through personal projects or blogs.
- Strong desire to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree or diploma in Information Technology, Web Development, Digital Media, or a related field.
- Experience with other CMS platforms (e.g., Joomla, Drupal, Adobe Experience Manager) is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Canva).
- A portfolio of personal web projects, however small or simple.
