Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Landscape Architecture Intern to join our Civil Space Planning team in Port Lincoln. This internship offers a unique opportunity for current students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic consulting environment. You will work alongside experienced professionals, contributing to various projects that shape public spaces and infrastructure. No prior professional experience is required; we are looking for a candidate eager to learn and grow within the field. Full training and mentorship will be provided to ensure your success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior landscape architects and urban planners with project research and data collection.
  • Contribute to the development of design concepts and proposals for civil space planning projects.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and visual materials using various software tools.
  • Support the team in drafting, mapping, and documentation tasks.
  • Participate in site visits, meetings, and project discussions as required.
  • Learn and apply relevant design standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate landscape architecture into broader engineering and planning projects.

Required Skills

  • Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning, or related design program.
  • Strong passion for landscape architecture, urban design, and community spaces.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Eagerness to learn new software and design methodologies.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), or GIS software.
  • Understanding of local environmental considerations relevant to the Port Lincoln region.
