Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Landscape Architecture Intern to join our Civil Space Planning team in Port Lincoln. This internship offers a unique opportunity for current students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic consulting environment. You will work alongside experienced professionals, contributing to various projects that shape public spaces and infrastructure. No prior professional experience is required; we are looking for a candidate eager to learn and grow within the field. Full training and mentorship will be provided to ensure your success.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior landscape architects and urban planners with project research and data collection.
- Contribute to the development of design concepts and proposals for civil space planning projects.
- Prepare presentations, reports, and visual materials using various software tools.
- Support the team in drafting, mapping, and documentation tasks.
- Participate in site visits, meetings, and project discussions as required.
- Learn and apply relevant design standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate landscape architecture into broader engineering and planning projects.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning, or related design program.
- Strong passion for landscape architecture, urban design, and community spaces.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Eagerness to learn new software and design methodologies.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), or GIS software.
- Understanding of local environmental considerations relevant to the Port Lincoln region.
