Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Biosecurity Admin Support professional to join our team in Canning Vale. This critical role provides essential administrative assistance to our biosecurity operations, ensuring compliance with national regulations and contributing directly to the protection of Australia’s borders and agricultural industries. You will play a key part in processing documentation, maintaining records, and facilitating the smooth flow of biosecurity-related information within our extensive logistics network.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and process biosecurity-related documentation, permits, and declarations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in various databases and systems.
- Liaise with internal teams, external agencies, and clients regarding biosecurity requirements and updates.
- Assist in preparing reports and summaries related to biosecurity activities.
- Coordinate appointments and inspections with relevant authorities.
- Respond to inquiries and provide administrative support to biosecurity officers and managers.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant national biosecurity laws and company policies.
Required Skills
- Proven administrative support experience (minimum 1 year).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or a related industry.
- Familiarity with biosecurity regulations or government compliance processes.
- Relevant certifications in administration or logistics.
- Experience using enterprise resource planning (ERP) or logistics management software.
