Job Description
Are you looking for a physically engaging role that doubles as a great workout? Apex Landscaping & Design is seeking a motivated and energetic Landscaping Rock Mover to join our growing team in Fishers, IN. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, are strong, and are eager to contribute to beautiful landscaping projects. You will be a crucial part of our operations, primarily responsible for the manual movement of rocks and other heavy materials using wheelbarrows and other tools. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently move rocks, boulders, gravel, and other landscaping materials using wheelbarrows, carts, and by hand.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Prepare job sites by clearing debris and ensuring proper material placement.
- Assist skilled landscapers and other team members with various tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies at all times.
- Operate basic landscaping tools under supervision.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and strength to lift and move heavy objects repeatedly throughout the day.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Strong work ethic and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of English for communication and safety instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a physically demanding role or outdoor labor is a plus, but not required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Familiarity with basic landscaping tools and equipment.
